Carlos Avila, at his current age of 32, is the youngest official member of Magnum Band and is literally younger than the band itself! Carlos had the extraordinary luck of playing with Magnum Band as his first ever experience with Kompa music. Ever since he joined Magnum in August of 2007, he has enjoyed working with many other Kompa bands, but if you ask him, he will say that none of them have come close to the level of excellence and the amount of fun it is to be a part of the Magnum Band experience (Le Seule Difference!).
Carlos Avila was born into a military family Sept. 16, 1977 in Fort Benning, Georgia USA. He began playing Tuba in Elementary school 1987, and focused on trombone in 1995 when he started college. He has a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education with a minor focus in Jazz Studies.

BIOGRAPHY
Carlos is a working professional musician based in Miami, Florida performing, recording, arranging, and composing with multilple bands of all genres. He teaches music in public and private schools in all of Dade County and is a manager of a music store, Kendall Conservatory of Music, in Miami.
